Nothing "science" says 18-22 year olds should be wearing a mask at all but especially when involved in a high cardio activity. These athletes are around each other and others much of the day without a mask but then put one on for practice.

I would think they'd want something that doesn't look like it's getting sucked into their mouth or stuck to their face when it's sweating and they're taking big breaths
It looked like Kendall Bates was practicing in 1 of the pictures taken at practice yesterday so that was good to see her back on the field. In the video of the practice one of the players had her left forearm in a cast.
I guess the next schedule milestone will be August 21 when it will be decided if there will be any NCAA fall sports championships. I think 8 of the 31 conferences that get automatic bids have already decided to not play this fall.

Yeah. It's sort of pick your poison; the buffs don't pull on the ears or push on the nose as much, but they do suck in more than the masks do. I've tried running in both and like the buffs better.
I would think for an athlete something that goes around the back of the head (so not around the ears) would be best, but also something with some shape to keep it out of the mouth. Like those high altitude masks, but without the high altitude simulation
Chris Henderson of All White Kit is tracking how many Division 1 teams are playing this fall since the NCAA will not have a championship unless 50% of the teams are playing. After the Mountain West and Summit decided today to not play the percentage still playing this fall is down to 63%.

Does that get the number under 50%? Hoping Big12, ACC, and SEC hold on.
Going to be close after Pac 12 announces, but I think other conferences will soon follow. I think the PAC 12 will make it 14 out of 31 conferences not playing.

Big South cancelled fall sports so Chris Henderson of All White Kit has 51.9% of Division 1 schools playing this fall.
Who really cares if there is an MCAA tournament? You can have a post season championship with the conferences who elect to play, and have a champion. NCAA is dead.

That's kinda dumb, their football teams are still playing non-conference games.
We've only got SEC games on our schedule now (except the top of the page that still says TCU is our next game, I'm guessing that's a mistake), not sure if that BYU game is still happening or not. I wonder if we'll add conference games.

I don't care if it's dumb or brilliant. If it results in us not playing Baylor, I love it!
That's true, the biggest health risk our players were facing this semester was Baylor.

Big East canceled fall sports so there will not be a fall NCAA soccer tournament since over half the soccer teams are not playing.
Not as big of an impact NCAA tournament wise, but a lot of decent smaller D1 soccer schools in the Southland:

Regardless of what happens with the remaining power 5 conferences, does the plug get pulled on soccer since there is nothing to play for other than an SEC championship?

This would affect volleyball the same way. And if soccer and volleyball don't play, it's hard to justify that the sport with most close contact will play.
Of course we'll still play without the NCAA tournament. Football has been playing for decades without an NCAA tournament. Also, it would probably be a Title IX issue if we cancelled soccer and volleyball but not football.
If the NCAA came out and said the tourneys would be in the Spring like they did for D2/3 that would end it. I wonder if back room pressure from B1G or PAC12 would force their hand.
I wouldn't consider moving to the spring "pulling the plug" or "ending it"

If you are playing football you have to try and play the other sports. Love coach G staring right away we don't need the NCAA, we can figure out our tournament with everyone who's playing.
Coach G is an amazing leader.

Only 7 conferences still playing this fall according to Chris Henderson of All White Kit. I was thinking that a post season tournament with the ACC would be interesting since they are always loaded.
Did y'all get your Aggie Soccer masks in the mail today?
That's going to cause a scholarship and numbers backlog. They only get so many and rely on seniors leaving to free up spots for the next incoming class
