And Bayern is something like 26-0-1 in all competitions since their last lost (Dec 7), went undefeated in CL group stage, and utterly embarrassed Chelsea in both games. Lewandowski probably deserved Ballon d'Or if it hadn't been canceled.

The 1 in the record above is Leipzig, and as a Leipzig fan, my foolish, unrealistic hope is that Bayern and Leipzig meet in the final and settle the draw (they drew both games this year).

I think your pick above is probably the most likely to happen, but given the one-off nature of this competition, I fully expect the unexpected. This year might deserve a Lyon-Atalanta final.

As a Bayern fan I thought we were about to be awful after the start of the season. Then Flick took over and I was nervous, but wow, give that man the keys to the club. All the players say that he's the best manager they've played under, even better than Pep.

Atletico Madrid have two positive Covid cases. They're gonna have a full round of tests today to determine who's allowed to fly to Portugal.

So it looks like the match today is only available (in English) on the CBS subscription app? Why isn't it in CBS Sports? Argh.

Been the story for months. Fantastic ball movement until we get to the final third.

RB deserved to win that one. Normally root for Spanish clubs but happy for Adams to score that.

It's meaningless semantics, perhaps, but given the old saga of Berhalter putting Adams at RB, and since the postgame commentator made such a big deal about Adams getting central as a RWB, I'll chime in.

As someone who has watched nearly every Leipzig game this year, I can say with great confidence that when Adams came in the game, they shifted their formation to a 4-2-2-2, and Adams was a DM. They've had lots of games this year where they like to make a change from a back 3 to a back 4 at some point in the game (or vice versa), and this isn't the first time that the switch happened with Adams substituting with the RWB.

Adams has played a good bit of RWB for them this year when they're in the 3 man back formation, but the postgame commentator was wrong in this case.
