Considering no one is playing games and we're in the middle of transfer windows, they have little to stand on, IMO.Furlock Bones said:
Barce are confirming he sent in via fax which makes it a legal request. Now arguing over his contract clause that says he can opt out at the end of any season for free. Barce saying he had to opt out in July, so someone will have to pay.
This is going to get messy.
Surely Barca would have to include some cash for that deal to make sense, right?wangus12 said:
Gonna be a straight swap. We get Messi. Barcelona get Ozil. We'll through in the greatest Egyptian Mo Elneny as part of the deal.
Probably will just include de Jong in the deal.Jason_Ag98 said:Surely Barca would have to include some cash for that deal to make sense, right?wangus12 said:

You meant to say "this is going to get messi", right?Quote:

I'd agree. Its down to the PSG and City, or Barcelona (if they fire Bartomeu)
I've got to hand it to him. Picking that hill to die on two weeks into his tenure is ballsy. Maybe historically stupid but it's ballsy for sure.Mathguy64 said:
Reportedly Koeman told Messi he no longer has "special privileges".
Koeman will be out once Barcelona board elections happen in March so what does he have to lose?ptothemo said:I've got to hand it to him. Picking that hill to die on two weeks into his tenure is ballsy. Maybe historically stupid but it's ballsy for sure.Mathguy64 said:

Everton supporter here. Koeman was a **** up for us and spent tons of money on weird/meaningless/pointless signings. I'd be shocked if he makes it to Christmas.akm91 said:Koeman will be out once Barcelona board elections happen in March so what does he have to lose?ptothemo said:I've got to hand it to him. Sounds like he's the perfect fit for this iteration of FC Barcelona.blindey said:Everton supporter here. Koeman was a **** up for us and spent tons of money on weird/meaningless/pointless signings. was listening to the grumpy pundits. they were interviewing Graham Hunter, and he said Man shiity have been chatting with Messi for years trying to figure out how to entice him to the club. Barce has known about it. apparently, they have figured out a way to do this without technically violating the rules.AG@RICE said:
Putting FFP aside, man city's actions still seem to violate the rules of football. I don't think you are allowed to contact players on other teams and get them to break contract. Clearly Pep called Messi and clearly both sides have tried to develop a plan to get Messi to city for free. Once Barca truly realized he is gone, I'm certain there will be a huge legal ordeal if he tries to go to city for free.
