MidTnAg,
Obviously I don't have all the answers and you saw things differently, but for a first game on the road with a lot of new faces and chemistry, we played well overall with a 3-0 win. Yes, we certainly need to clean up some of the fouls and yellow cards, but is that a deliberate strategic change to be more physical? Also, regardless of talent level, coaches can have their teams more physically fit than the opponent, and that was certainly the case against Ole Miss. The Rebels were gassed and we were still playing with energy in the second half.
I think this team might have a lot of depth that can play, so I hope we get to see more players next week against Auburn. Right now we really don't know who the best teams are in the SEC outside of possibly Arkansas (who actually looked very average against a poor LSU team). If we have another solid performance against the Tigers, I think it would be a good sign that this team will be better than anticipated. Over the years, it does seem like some of our better teams have come in years when we didn't expect much from them, while the opposite has also been true unfortunately (especially in recent years).
