Not sure how I missed this thread yesterday, but anyways.
Dominguez has attacking potential but stumbled over his own feet a few times. Maybe just nerves for being in his first game with Austin. I think he will find his groove as the season progresses.
On the team's conditioning, I know all preseason, Wolfff was mass subbing at the 6O minute mark. This seemed to give all the guys the needed time for evaluation. I know Dallas had an established team and subbed differently than us. You could see yesterday that our conditioning just wasn't there at that same 60 min mark. Now that we have a starting group, I bet we will see guys get better conditioned and find their rhythm in this new system. Pochettino has said he likes the system but he just needs minutes to find his rhythm in it.
The first half of the season will be tough with all the road games, but the second half is home game heavy. I expect to see vast improvement in the second half when compared to the first half. That's really all we can ask for with a brand new team and system. We have to remember these guys just played their first real game together as a squad.
Enjoy it, fans. We finally got a professional team in ATX. It was a glorious day for Austin. Many more will come.
