Completely agree. A lot of that is the subs brought in. Zardes brings the energy for this team
I was in the room here one day... watchin' the Mexican channel on TV. I don't know nothin' about Pele. I'm watchin' what this guy can do with a ball and his feet. Next thing I know, he jumps in the air and flips into a somersault and kicks the ball in - upside down and backwards... the dang (sc) goalie never knew what the hell hit him. Pele gets excited and he rips off his jersey and starts running around the stadium waving it around his head. Everybody's screaming in Spanish. I'

I have a love hate thing with zardes, but you can't ever question his effort or work rate. And that was the difference today, The fact that he scored the goal was just icing.

To be fair both teams were CONCACAFing at a high rate. We should make Qatar an honorary member of CONCACAF after that effort. And don't forget AR2 who is from Senegal who made the complete bad guess calling a corner kick on a ball that not only could not see but that never even touched the end line.

This was a true global CONCACAF level match. Everyone should be proud.

I'm a big Zardes fan. I'll add something. He nearly always makes the smart play. His feet let him down sometimes, but he rarely does something dumb.
