My old soccer coach Horst Bertl passed away. Really sad. Really special and great coach. Bundesliga champ with Hamburg in the 70s. Legendary here in north Texas.

What year were you? I have a high school buddy that was an 81 and I think that was his coach. Dude was a legend in the Dallas area.

They were a very talented team for sure. Always challenging and/or winning D1. Sorry to hear about his passing.

Thank you. He was great, man. You don't realize it at the time when you're that young - how much he did for you.

I actually wrote him an email several years ago saying thank you, but I never sent it for some reason. It's still in my drafts. Makes me sad.
