There is a photo of the team on the Aggie Soccer twitter page receiving a trophy on Monday at the Building Champions Awards for Highest GPA. Lauren Geczik has a big wrap on her left knee.

In the previous post about rule changes, the NCAA postponed implementing a rule that would not allow a player to return in the 2nd half if they left in that period.

I like the overtime rule change. I never understood the need for the added minutes during regular season. This is better for travel, better for tired legs, etc.

Caught the tail end of Coach G's interview with David Nuno on Texags radio. Thought I heard G say he signed 2 players who will be here this fall. Also said he has hired someone from FSU to replace Volunteer Assistant Coach Nathan Kogut, who was hired as the Head Coach at Lamar.

with Krikorian leaving FSU (still really strange) his assistants were looking for jobs obviously.

I heard the interview today as well and he brought up some interesting tidbits including a tough schedule mostly on the road (at Clemson, at Ohio State, at Illinois, at South Carolina). Players are getting fully healthy and he is actively searching for another striker in the portal with the loss of Olivieri. Still no word on Geczik but I assume she will be out for the year.

This is a big season coming up for Coach G.
