Look, I'm not much of a tactics guy, but it seems pretty obvious to me that the gameplan was to force them to try to play out of the back, just like with Mexico. The raw possession numbers are irrelevant.

I disagree, Michael Bradley had his father as coach, and outran and outworked everyone else in the team. He wasn't the least bit cocky, just a true professional trying to live up to his family name.

Reyna is cocky, but not because his father was a team captain, he's cocky because (like Dempsey), he has the skills to pay the bills and he has the confidence to show it off…
