I think I'm gonna join Oregon in just accepting that we're not moving out of group. Not an outcome I want… I'd rather have ggg prove me wrong. But for my sanity, it's the outcome I'm preparing to see.

My HOPE is that we find a way to play up closer to our potential, but without adjustments its not great.
Mostly because these are the games where a manager should be declaring and testing the way he intends to play in the world cup. Right?
This is where I'm at too. Preparing for 0 points. Anything above that is a bonus. It's amazing how bad those two performances were. Absolutely nothing redeeming about them and it's unrealistic to expect a massive turnaround in less than 2 months with 0 games to play between now and then.

They're pro players. They know what tactics the sport uses. Implementing a new system isn't all that difficult. National Team managers rarely seem to last more than 1-2 cycles anyways. These last 2 matches are arguably the worst they've looked going into the time when they should be at their best. The team has no cohesion or chemistry because of how much ggg cycles the team. He's determined to play out of the back with players who've shown time and again that they can't do it well. He selects teams on favoritism rather than form.

There are 26 roster spots and 5 subs per game. More players and subs than any previous WC. There are plenty of positions and playing time available.
Until there is a true, full investment in the World Cup, the USA will always under-perform.

The best NTs play the same system year after year from U17 on up. Everyone is drilled in the system. And the NT manager plays the best players as much as possible so they get familiar with each other.
The second part isnt possible when ggg rotates his squad over and over because he wants to. Its one thing when you have injuries. But that should be plug and play the injured spot. He cant settle on a squad of 11. Its infuriating.
Play your best 11 every match. The best 11 in the same place, subject to injuries.

Just finished watching. Boy, another stinker. My dvr didn't record, so I missed the first half. Anybody know why Pulisic didn't play? I saw him listed on the starting 11, but didn't see him out there.
Scally showed some skill. He looks a little green, but might be a player in the future.
I saw Pepi get subbed off, but didn't see him touch the ball.
The super slow play out of the back is infuriating. Seeing big Zimm just stand there with the ball at his feet is bad football. Seeing Aaron Schlong do the same is worse.
Give me Musah and Weah. These current guys suck.
Gonna make a prediction that I don't like. Turners lack of skill with his feet will cost us a goal in the cup. I like Turner and support him being number 1, but GGG is asking him to do something he is not comfortable with. Big Zimm and Schlong rely on him too much and it will bite us. Midfield needs to get the centerbacks better options for an outlet.

It's honestly tough to tell on here these days.
Actually had to go into the office today so wasn't able to watch and managed to miss all reports during the day. Just sat down to watch and for some reason YouTubeTV didn't record the match despite me having it set to record any USMNT matches, so I searched the match on AppleTV and it pulled up the result.
Replay starts on FS1 in about an hour, I'll probably watch a bit but doesn't sound like i missed much...

Same issue with my recording. I think they coded it differently and the dvr didn't pick up on whatever they called it. Just a guess. Mine has had no problems finding the games on fs1 or espn. Other oddity is that mine records the us games on the spanish stations too. This time, nada. I also avoided any news or media that would possibly spill the beans.
Yeah, I can't recall ever having had issues in the past either. What's weird is if I go to my Library it's not recorded under Recent, but the match comes up with the score and "unavailable" under Completed.
One day technology will advance to the point that we can watch recorded matches AND not find out the score beforehand, one day....
Was the broadcast this afternoon better quality or also filmed with a potato?

Luckily I caught it ahead of time

It wasn't, we just moved and I've got a brand new 65" 4k set for the living room and had the same issue.
