I thought the girls really competed well last night. Tough to tell if that last goal was offsides or not, but it sure seemed like it at the game. My understanding is the ref said the replay didn't give him a view of that player at the time the ball was played, so he couldn't overrule the call on the field. Give TCU credit as they are a good side with some great offensive weapons. Fuller clearly with her best showing of the year. While the PK wasn't struck well, it was a nice save and she pushed it all the way wide so they couldn't get the rebound. I thought Yakel and Crooks at CB continued to play well, staying with the TCU stars and staying pretty organized under pressure.
Emma Y was excellent on the outside, earning that PK and was very effective against our right back. Bacerra did the same thing last night that she did when she was with A&M. She moves around the field without impacting the game a ton, but let her get a shot off at the top of the box and she has one of the prettiest shots in college soccer. She was also the one with the giveaway to give us our goal (great finish by Diaz, but Bacerra just passed it right to her). A little surprised that she and Emma Y don't play more minutes (52 and 54, respectively) considering Castain and Patton both play full 90 (and Brown played 83).
Love to see Cornog on the field. Hoping she is happy at TCU, even if she isn't getting a ton of minutes. She is good people and I am sure has a positive impact on the team regardless of minutes.
Landherr was a great spark off the bench for us and hopefully earned more minutes going forward. And great to see Lavendar back from injury and getting her first college minutes as she played well in the spring. Hoping Kennedy is able to come back from injury soon as I think we really miss her presence.
