Join us at Ellis Field as we close out the regular season against the Kentucky Wildcats. The Aggies could really use a win here to extend the season into the conference tournament. But Kentucky is a tough opponent.

The Wildcats are 10-4-3 on the season with a 4-2-2 conference record. They are, however, winless on the road with an 0-1-3 away record.

Kentucky has outscored opponents 37-15 on the year, but that is padded by a pretty weak non-conference slate. In SEC play, Kentucky has outscored conference foes by a narrow 12-10. Missouri is the only conference opponent they have shut out this season and Kentucky was shut out once in conference play - by Georgia.

Based on the transitive property here, A&M's odds don't look great. BUT - they will have the home fans behind them.

Kentucky is currently #61 in RPI. They will not make the ncaa's unless they get a couple of more wins, so no chance they play subs in this one.

Kentucky is in they are like 5th in the SEC right now and 11 teams made it last year

SEC regular season conference standing has very little to do with making ncaa's. It is driven more by rpi. There are multiple current forecasts of who will make the ncaa's (top drawer soccer just released one today, Chris Henderson on X, etc) and none of them currently forecast Kentucky making it without some additional wins (on Sunday and/or in the sec tourney).

From Chris Henderson's projection yesterday..."Kentucky is going to be a very interesting case for the selection committee. The Wildcats are currently out of the RPI Top 57, which usually equals no chance, but they also have a pair of RPI Top 50 wins, which is more than a lot of bubble rivals can argue. But nothing is overwhelming in terms of value, and the non-conference RPI is hanging around their neck like an anchor. There's also the small matter of winning just one of their last five matches. In effect, it makes the Texas A&M finale an almost must win situation, though a win in Pensacola may also be needed to really feel good about their fate."

and lost non conf to Ohio State

everyone of those is more than what the Ags have accomplished, yet one team is in and the other is in a must win game
