Why the hell not?

A championship is looking more likely this year than it did in '03 or '05. Right now I'd give em a 50-50 shot against the Lakers in the WCF, and we're definitely deeper than both the Cavs and Celtics this time around. So here's to a fifth banner in AT&T Center.

i think its pretty safe to say a key player will be hurt come playoff time so the spurs wont have a chance.

I'm pretty sure that was before Odom signed back with the Lakers. They have to be the favorite.

I still stand by this thread, regardless of Odom returning to LA.

i will say the spurs are poo poo if they get knocked out of the first round.

here's pretty much the only way it happens:
several injuries and the spurs taking it easy during the regular season, mydyess goes down hard, and they draw the 8th seed in the west. and it's hard to imagine what sucky team finishes ahead of them...the worst they do is 7th.


the chances of the spurs winning the championship are slightly better than the being knocked out in the first round....neither is very likely.
