In any case, you are basically arguing that adding a 6-9th ranked player at his position to a team's roster makes them better, which is true. It does not follow that adding a player and thereby improving the team proves that the player is automatically one of the top 2 at his position. Was Bruce Bowen a top 2 SF?

You act like Bynum carried them to that championship, when in fact he was at best the 4th option. He might have pushed them over the top, but a lot of players could have provided the same depth in the post.

Kobe, Pau, and Fisher are all more far important to the Lakers than Bynum.

By your definition, Sun Yue, Shannon Brown, Adam Morrison & Josh Powell are all some of the best at their positions since the Lakers won a championship with them in 2009,and didn't without them in 2008.

no dumbass, it is very obvious that you are the only one here who just doesnt get it. Your arguments on this thread are borderline retarded and would be an embarrassment to the IQ of most Laker fans.

Even when he played the position for a while,

nahh maz it's just that it's pointless to argue with everyyy Mavs/Rockets/Spurs homer on here at the same time.

Bynum is better than Lopez and Bogut. Bynum was THE missing piece for the championship. Bynum's stats aren't as good because he palys with Kobe, Pau, Odom, and Artest. All those take away points, rebounds, etc from Bynum.

Put Bynum as the #1 option on the bucks or the BADASS Nets in the eastern conference, and Bynum's numbers are ASTRONOMICALLY better than Bogut's and Lopez. But Lopez is a rookie so we won't count him because he's going to have a nice career.

Has it occurred to you that when you disagree with the fans of every team but yours about how amazing a player on your team is, you might be the homer?

Actually Lopez is a 2nd year player. I think I've finally realized why you make the comments you do. You don't even watch the sport.

nah lopez is still a rook. just like oden will be a rook for 3-4 more seasons. and he still has a higher PER than Bynum. he must be better amirite?

what about Nazr Mohammed? he must be better than Bynum too.

but yeah you're right Ital...i don't watch the sport at all. what am i thinkin

The point is that you don't have a strong argument to put Bynum ahead of Lopez. You thinking he's a rookie means:

1) You missed out on an entire year of his play during his actual rookie year. Therefore, you couldn't see his progression as a player (Believe it or not NBA.com doesn't tell you everything.)

2) You probably have rarely seen him play this season if at all as most games would most certainly refer back to his rookie season at some point in time.

So it's pointless to argue with them and yet that is all you seem to do. Why is that?

Oh snap!

Simple that's all well and good but everything you say is speculative. Nothing is supported by actual fact, but yet you talk as if it is.
