It has been a fun ride that is for sure! I wouldn't write 'em off completely just yet. Never know what could happen!

This game was it... the Spurs did all the things they should have had to to win. They limited points in the paint and transition points, shut down Amare, defended Nash's scoring as well as anyone, and the Suns won other ways.

That adds up to the Suns just being better. No tricks.

I'm just waiting for the Spurs to trade Parker and Jefferson for D Wade.

Hill
Wade
Ginobili
Duncan
Dyess / Blair

I don't think we need another star, although, I wouldn't be against getting Wade. We need some guys that can consistently knock down shots. And a new free throw coach. BADLY.

Here's hoping the ping pong balls don't go the spurs way when the next sure fire star comes through.

The league might start changing rules if that happens again.

It's true. I already miss the Duncan Spurs in a weird way. We won't ever be an elite team in which Tim is the focal point again.

Sad but true. I'm gonna miss those times. The 99-2010 Spurs have had of the greatest runs in NBA history.

We'll see what Splitter brings to the table if we get him this summer, but the dynasty is over. It's been a lot of fun.

It was nice to get one last beat down of the Mavs in before heading out.

I'll certainly take being shown the door by a Phoenix team that finally got their **** together.

Even if the Spurs had beaten Phoenix, there is no way in hell they were going to beat LA and ORL / CLE.

It sucks to see it end in such ridiculous domination by Phoenix. Duncan's legs just can't carry him like they used to, and injuries have turned Parker from a Finals MVP into an average PG.

This team really would need some kind of 1997 NBA Draft type of luck to have another legit shot at going all the way. Hopefully they will bring in a bunch of young guys next year to help them play better defense.

Nice run but maybe some would say there was the strike season, the Donaghy era, the video the Spurs sent to the league that purported to show Amar'e leave the bench after the Horry flagrant foul, etc. You had your time but it wasn't without controversy.

Boston Celtics, anyone?
1957, 1959, 1960, 1961, 1962, 1963, 1964, 1965, 1966, 1968, 1969

That quote is missing a one. It's supposed to say "one of the greatest runs". This would imply that there are other ones too. So, even thought the celtics had a better run, the spurs still had one of the greatest runs in NBA history.
