At least Dirk had some fight in him in the elimination game this year. Lebron looks like a little ***** out there. Standing on the fringe while everyone else is out there playing. It's over, but put your head down and go after somebody.

I just set First Take to record in case I forget, or over sleep. I rarely watch it because of Bayless, but he is funny as shat when Lebron sucks it up and with 2 bad games in a row & all the other crap, it should be epic tomorrow.

I agree. I think it's kind of silly to compare players unless their careers are over. For all we know, Dwyane Wade leaves Miami, the team he goes to makes some great moves, and his team dominates the next 4 or 5 years. Anything is possible until someone retires, so you can't use the present to determine the future.

Give Lebron Shaq in his prime, and give Kobe Shaq-the-shell-of-his-former-self, and their achievements would be flipped.

Yeah, you guys are right...Kobe has no offensive or defensive game, has no shot and has no killer instinct...no idea why anyone would would even compare him to anybody decent...

The guy went on a long 40-point per game tear and hung 81 on one team and 62 through 3 quarters on a playoff team when he had Smush Parker and Kwame Brown as fellow starters...let's also not forget who saved the Lakers ass in a pivotal Game 4 of the 2000 NBA Finals when Shaq fouled out pre-OT...right now he's playing with a broken finger on his shooting hand and back and ankle issues as his team just swept Utah's ass out of the playoffs...give me a f'n break...

I also don't get why there needs to be comparisons to Kobe and/or MJ or attempts to put those two in the same category. I do agree that Kobe has shown much more of a killer instinct that Lebron through this point in their careers. However, it's not like Kobe hasn't been frustrated and pouted when he was on bad teams. Kobe hasn't won a thing without the benefit of players who were much better than anyone Lebron has ever played with.

Give Lebron another superstar and I think he can win multiple titles. I guess we'll see.

[EDIT: Shouldn't have said "bad" teams. This Cleveland squad is by no means bad and is the best Lebron has had. I meant teams where he felt like he needed more help.]

The fact that Kobe even sniffed the playoffs in the Western Conference during that stretch with arguably the worst supporting cast in the league is nothing short of a miracle.

LeBron's team that made it to the Finals was a good team with a decent supporting cast. But again, they played in the East and basically took a default win in the first round against a Washington team that was playing without Gilbert Arenas and Caron Butler. The "carrying" his team to the Finals in 2007 is the most overrated accolade on his resume.

I think Lebron is still the most talented player in the league, but the cavs ask too much from him and he needs to be tougher mentally when dealing with an injury

Lebron deserves some criticism so I'm not completely defending him. And I'm not trying to take anything away from Kobe.

I look at it like this: if Kobe and Lebron's situations were reversed, would the results be much different?

I don't think Kobe would have done anything more than what Lebron has done in Cleveland, and that Lebron would have multiple titles had he had the teammates Kobe has had.
