Now we learn just how truly bad Atlanta was...this series is over if Boston wins Game 2.

The Celtics, when healthy, simply have too many powerful bullets in the gun...I'm not so sure they will be denied in the finals either should they remain healthy. Those guys (Allen, KG) are old but they still have tons of game.

The Magic played a lousy game and still almost pulled it off. The Celtics could win, but I don't think game one was an accurate representation of what they're capable of. If they'd shot even 30% from the 3pt line, it easily could have swung in the other direction.

It should be a good series, though. I'm looking forward to watching it

did the magic play a lousy game because they were rusty, or was it because they finally played a team that actually played some physical defense and pushed them off the 3 point line?

i agree i think the magic can play better. But the C's didn't play a perfect game by any stretch of the imagination either. KG and rondo both had games that were below their respective playoff averages.

I thought the Magic would probably lose this one, their outside shooting was bound to suffer after the long layoff.

I think the Celtics D gave them a little trouble. Heard one analyst say Orlando was averaging something like 30 attempts from 3 in the first two rounds but yesterday took only 22. There wasn't really much doubling of Howard that I noticed (although I did not watch the entire game) so it seems like the Cs were staying home on the shooters more. Who knows. I don't really watch the Eastern Conference enough to know much about these teams.
