The Rockets haven't even gotten a formal meeting with Bosh.

He's not coming to Houston, as perfect as that would be, it ain't happening unfortunately.

The only real shot the Rockets had was if Wade went to Chicago and Lebron to Cleveland and then the Raptors didn't want to do a sign and trade with either team. With this news, it's pretty much over.

Bosh wants to be a tagalong sidekick, not the main man on a team. It's his choice, I just don't want to ever hear him mentioned in the same breath as Duncan, Barkley, etc. If he wants to be a sidekick, let him go be a sidekick. Hope it works out for him.

I'm not saying now. But if he does end up in a second banana role with DWade or Bron and wins 2/3 championships with good numbers, I know the morons will be coming out of the woodwork arguing he's that good. I can guarantee that.

That sounds like a formal meeting to me.

According to a lot of what I've read, Bosh's preference is:

1. Play with Lebron (although I've also heard he'd prefer Wade from a source saying that he'd feel more like an equal with Wade while Lebron demands so much limelight)
2. Play with Wade
3. Do a S&T with Houston

He:
1. Doesn't want to easily give up the extra $30MM, so S&T is likely
2. Doesn't want to go to Cleveland (apparently too small of a market)

The Raptors:
1. Aren't interested in a S&T with Miami, Chicago, NY, or NJ.
2. Have said they'd take offers from Cleveland and Houston (maybe Dallas)

Bron I think would commit to Cleveland tomorrow if he could take Bosh along. I think the most likely scenario is that Bosh goes to Miami with Dwayne Wade and Lebron returns to Cleveland.

There is a difference between a meeting and a formal meeting. Morey showing up at his doorstop at 11:00 pm is not a formal meeting.

The Raptors want no part of Luol Deng or Michael Beasley and thus there's going to be no S&T with Miami or Chicago but I still think there's a decent chance he signs in Miami if Wade stays even without a S&T.

We are an afterthought right now. Until we actually have a sit down meeting in the daylight with him and his agents, I'm not giving us much of a shot.

Basically, we are hoping he wants the extra year and $30 million that comes with it and he gets stuck with us as his only option to make that happen.

Yes, GS they could. But various media outlets have reported that the Raptors do not want to do a S&T to either the Bulls or Heat apparently because they are only interested in a S&T if it brings them back young contributors and picks.

Where did you read Toronto is interested in dealing with Houston? Last I heard they weren't interested in what we had to offer.

ESPN announcing this morning Bosh and Wade to sign with Heat. Knew it was always a long shot. dang. Don't want to see the Rockets panic and grab someone just to do it and don't think Morey will. Curious if they stay pat and run at a trade later in the year or next years FAs.

Not sure this is worthy of a new thread, although one will probably be created if true, but a four-team trade involving the Bobcats, Heat, Rockets and Raptors has reportedly been discussed.

Sources say Michael Beasley and Jared Jeffries would be sent to Charlotte, with Tyson Chandler going to Houston.
