NBA is garbage. Don't know how anybody watches it. If you have to play music while the game is going on your league sucks.

Mookie, I watched the 1986-87 Laker at Boston regular season game on TV live. One of the greatest finishes I've ever seen.

At best I think the NBA is stagnant and at worst in a period of slow decline.

People I know who used to be die hard about the games don't even pay attention to the playoffs unless it is their team. Even then the enthusiasm for the league is very low.

Most big time sports fans I know, have a hard time keeping the NBA in their top 3/4 (NFL, their college football/basketball team, some have baseball in there).

This may reignite the passion for the NBA that went on in the 90s and 2000s but I have my doubts because they issues with the NBA go beyond just star power.

All you naysayers are ridiculous. "LA and SA will be good next year, but after that OKC better step it up or the league will be an utter abortion?" There will always be a team to step up, and there will always be new players entering the league to change the dynamic. That's all this is: The dynamic of the NBA has changed, but it DEFINITELY doesn't mean that we're going to be watching 1 team win everything for the next 10 years. You guys are just being reactionary...

best thing for the NBA would have been Lebron to the Knicks, and then Lebron to Chicago.

I agree except I would actually put the soon to be Brooklyn Nets above the Knicks. As long as Dolan is in charge that franchise is screwed.

I believe the NBA needs a strong NY presence to operate at their best.
