with amare they are a 40-42 win team. Thats how many wins it takes to make the playoffs in the east

Trading David Lee for Amare (assuming Lee still leaves) is sort of a wash.

Not to mention Amare's medical problems of the past and his age.

I am not so sure that Amare will be as productive without Nash either.

I think getting thoses Knicks options for the draft will still be useful for the Rockets.

Was that also the season where had both his legs and could jump out of the building on a team that only won 29 games? He also had Marbury, who yeah is known for being a ballhog, but was still in the prime of his career and averaged over 8 assists a game, giving STAT the ball b/f being traded to NY.

Amare is a very skilled player and even moreso now that he has an 18 foot jumper to go with his finishing skills. But he isn't a leader. He's got some maturity issues, is a pouter and doesn't put forth effort on defense and rebounding. Hell the dude already knows his team sucks ass, which is why he was trying to recruit Carmelo and Tony Longoria to NY next year.

I think the knicks will be slightly improved, but enough to stay out of the NBA draft lottery, not sure about that.

Well, I just saw the news about Randolph, so that should help them probably get to the playoffs. I doubt they will go far as of now.
