the Jazz are a nuisance to the spurs. the only way it could get worse i suppose is if they were in the same division.

I said that because I don't think the chances of the Spurs and Jazz meeting in a playoff series are that significant, since the Spurs will probably be in the middle to bottom of the playoff pecking order and the Jazz will likely be towards the bottom as well.

I think its fairly obvious that Bell going to the Jazz is better for the Spurs than Bell going to the Lakers.

How does one miss that?

Karl Malone and John Stockton are long gone. The Jazz aren't a nuisance to the Spurs. The Spurs haven't lost a playoff series to the Jazz since Tim Duncan was a rookie.


Spurs would much rather have the Jazz pick up a player than the Lakers.

The Lakers are going to be a "nusiance" to the spurs no matter what happens to bell.

The spurs and jazz have a better chance of facing each other in the playoffs than say....i dunno...the other place Bell was possibly gonna go: THE HEATTTT DUN DUN DUNNNNN

he's getting double the money to go back to Utah...where he's already played.

So the Lakers were never a possibility because they weren't going to pay him as much as Utah, but Miami was a possibility, even though they could only offer him a veteran minimum contract? The Lakers still have whatever is left over on the MLE after Blake and the LLE to sign Bell.
