Jefferson is alive and well. As long as Dallas pulls the Damp+Cash+Picks for Jefferson before Cleveland moves their LeBron Trade Exception for him.

True, but I am beginning to think that Donnie and Cubes are just a bunch of morons living in a CP3 Fantasyworld that isnt going to happen. If Jefferson is on the table for Damp's contract you have to take him. It at least will give the Mavs some hope headed into next season with a roster full of decrepid, old men.

I agree. If you can get Jefferson for Damp, you do it immediately. Much better than the alternative, which is cutting Dampier yourself and getting dick and letting Cleveland take Jefferson, which would give them a decent East team (Mo, Antwan, AlJeff.)

This FA period is becoming increasingly frustrating for me as a Mavs fan.

Swapping Damp for Big Al is a no brainer. I don't understand the stubbornness with Carroll and Stevenson. Compromise, and send Carroll only. It's an absolute joke that he is $5mm against the cap. At least you can get some minutes out of Deshawn.

although i'm not as high on jefferson as others [see the other jefferson thread], he's waaaaaaay better than what the Mavs are going to get for Damp -- which looks like nothing at this point. We're going to end up eating his contract [or cutting and resigning] when we could have had a pretty decent big man. damn you donnie and cuban. **** **** **** **** ****
