I've got to agree with birdman...the organization catered to LeBron, and Mike Brown was an offensively challenged coach, which led to LeBron having to do everything on his own...you're going to get 9 assists when you constantly handle the ball w/ his talent.
The problem this season, IMO, is that they got a scoring PG to pair w/ LeBron, Mo, and once LeBron left they now have no facilitator. LeBron leaving certainly hampered them, but if they had a decent PG who could facilitate the offense and had a respectable jumpshot, they'd be better off.
Every team needs a guy who puts the ball where it needs to be, and to me the way the Cavs are currently constructed, they have a team of guys who know what to do once the ball is where it needs to be; I think the argument is moot both ways, if LeBron stays the supporting cast isn't terrible, they could've won a championship w/ that roster is LeBron plays like a beast and nothing less, but to say they're terrible w/o him is ignoring the fact that they lost what the rest of the roster was built around, a bonafide playmaker, that they do not have now.
