I say all that to say this: boys we're in trouble! Oh, I also despise every one of our conference rivals with tu, tech and baylor being at the top of that list. For all you Gillispie haters, go ahead and leave now before the destruction rains down. I loved Shelby but BCG is the best coach we've ever had. He did more with less than anybody we ever had (okay, maybe D.X. did). I agree that he probably didn't quite "fit" A & M in a lot of ways but he is a PERFECT fit for tech. He'll out-recruit us for Texas boys, next year he'll be NIT at a minimum and then the Big Dance every year. Next year, he'll have about 3 JUCO guys who can play D and jump out of the gym. He'll beat the hell outta' us in Lubbock and scare the hell outta' us--if not beat us--in CS. While Turgeon whines about attendance, ol' Clyde will have full houses in Lubbock. We ARE in trouble and so are the bunches in Austin and Waco. Please pull this up in two years and review....I LOVE being right!

BCG will be a GREAT coach for tech. If his demons don't catch up to him look out. also, how long will tech accept his bs? near forever probably as long as they are winning.

I was not happy with the way BCG did us when he left for kentucky, and I sure as heck don't ever want to lose to tech, but I have to admit, BCG going to tech is not good for us. BCG can recruit texas, can coach, and will instill toughness. Hopefully, we continue to beat tech, but I can guarantee you it will not be a cake walk. Probably going to be very physical, grind-it-out type games. And if you can keep the game close, anything can happen, especially if you stink at free throw shooting like we have the past year or two.

This is why oldsters should not be given access to their grandchildren's computer.

Let me know who the two lottery picks (see A. Wright and A. Law IV) he is inheiriting are on the tek roster before you start putting these guys in any tournament.

if tech is good, that's better for the conference as long as BCG is not stealing our recruits.

in the end the ncaa tourney is what matters most and if we make it there, we won;t be seeing tech in it anyway.

No he won't. tech fans will show up for the big names, but won't sellout most of their games simply because BCG is coaching. They didn't even sell out every game for Bobby Knight. If BCG is looking for a fanbase that is passionate for basketball, he picked the wrong place.

Were is your post about what a great job Billy was going to do at Kentucky? I would like to pull it up know, so we can point out that you don't have a clue.

What is he turns out to be? What are you trying to prove?

A&M didn't fire Billy. He walked away of his own accord. Who would you have preferred in Turge's place? What could A&M have done differently to make you happy?

BCG may be a good coach, but he is no where what Shelby Metcalf was as a person or a coach - at least from my observation as a fan and an Aggie.

The one sure place BCG being at Tech will (and has already apparently) hurt us is dividing our own fanbase.

As another poster pointed out, some of the BCG contingent on here act like we fired BCG and ran him off instead of him giving us the finger. If anything, we should want him to fail miserably at Tech and Turge to hang banner after banner at Reed but it sounds like many are just aching to have BCG beat Turge everywhere from on the court to in recruits living rooms.

I just don't get it...
