keeping the same group is a waste of a season. This Spurs team was weak in the front court this year and Duncan and Dice are going to be worse next. Trade Parker for a stud big and cut the driftwood (Jefferson & Bonner) and see who we can sign.

Dice will retire. Trade Parker for a young big (or a pick to draft Thompson from Texas), give Hill the reigns. Start bringing Manu off the bench again. If RJ will take 3mm/year keep him, if not trade or cut. Give Neal the contract he deserves and more minutes. Move Bonner, he tries hard but can't cut it in the playoffs. See how Da'quan Butler turns out, but pick up another SF defender anyway.

I don't see a franchise player coming to San Antonio. Would you want to get Dwight Howard here for next season maybe? I don't think that's really going to happen.

I just don't see the Spurs keeping this dynasty going without a franchise level big man like Tim Duncan.

Is it going to take getting back to the draft lottery?

that guy loves seeing his mug too much to come to SA. he's headed for a big city.

also, i wouldn't want him even if he played for 5 mil a season. i hate his game, and his attitude is a team cancer.

splitter isn't "the answer", but he's going to be great for this team. having two or three really decent big men rotating can make up for one superstar like duncan.

The Spurs are basically the Rockets right now. Lots of pieces that don't quite add up to a really good team.


I would absolutely love it if we got the best big on the planet in DH, but there is no way that would happen. Also, as poorly officiated as he is in Orlando he might never make it to a second half if he were playing for SA.

That's exactly what I'm afraid of.

And about Dwight Howard... I think he's destined for a big city too. I don't like the way he is either. It's just the best opportunity I could see as the Spurs making a quick comeback.

Make a trade for a decent Big. Buy out Jefferson's contract. Call it an offseason.

Tony and Manu have fallen off, as far as effectiveness when you need them goes, as much as Duncan.

Manu had the elbow, so that is a bit of a pass. But, Tony's side-step J that he loves disappeared, and without it, he is extremely ineffective.

tony is an all-star. manu is solid as a starter or from the bench.

each had a bad series, each for different reasons. keep them both and have them run like the wind.

Manu is a stud. still.

Tony was an all star. Now he is on the list of worst teammates and out of control. he can make a jumpshot occasionally and still get to the cup, but he is not an all star.

I would love to make a play for one of Utah's bigs.
