I'm hoping awinlonghorn is a sock because he's embarrassing Mavs fans.

If Dallas falls to 4, then they play Denver. If they keep 3, they probably play Portland.

TheMarcus/Gerald Wallace/WesMatthews/Batum/Camby/Miller is a pretty tough lineup. If Roy gives you anything, bonus. I think that lineup scares me more than the Thuggets.

I prefer the thunder stay put at 4, because I want no part of the blazers.

Agree. Even though Denver has been hot I'd have to imagine the Blazers will be a favorite against Dallas. Neither of those matchups looks particularly pleasing for a team that will only win if their jump shots are falling.

I absolutely can't stand the fact that every person we bring to Dallas to change the jump shooting mentality instead changes their own game to become more jump shot oriented.

Chandler is nice, but Dallas has needed to get a real post presence. Alley-Oops and defense isn't the whole package. Until Dallas has someone that can post up, they will never win. End of story. You have to score in the paint or you cannot win a championship.

That I could see. You're right, the Spurs aren't playing their best ball of the year.

But "easily" was what caught me. I would bet a lot of money on the Spurs against the Mavs. In fact, other than New Orleans, the Mavs would probably be the Spurs' easiest out.

The Spurs have reason to lose, the Lakers do not. They like where they are. If they fall to the 4 seed they play denver, then san antonio.

I had OKC in mind when I said that. That's the team the Lakers do not want to play in the 2nd. After the Dallas win last night, it looks like they won't.

What reason is that? I would figure overall #1 would be pretty motivating. If you operate under the goal of moving into the finals, then I'd think you would want HC against the Bulls or Heat.

Spurs already have HC over the Heat if they should meet in the Finals.

'09 Spurs defeat in the Playoffs, Mavs always forget TD and MG were hurt.

Avoiding the Lakers in round 2.

word on ESPN is that Spurs are resting some starters tonight.

Probably a wise decision, but I wish they'd give the Mavs more incentive to beat New Orleans tomorrow.
