MRI revealed that it is just an elbow sprain. Will be doubtful for Game 1 sunday, but he has begun rehab already. It could be worse.

So no tear? Whew!

Well, looking at the playoff schedule, the only good thing for Ginobili is that he has 2 weeks to recover until the OKC series starts.

That might be enough time to get into good playing shape with that elbow, since it is his non-shooting elbow. He might have a harder time playing defense and switching hands on the lay-in, but other than that you'd think he'd be alright by then.

Really need Denver to win a game or two so that both series do not end early, pushing back the start date of the 2nd round series.

Manu says the pain in his elbow is almost gone. Doubtful could turn into probable, although I would like to see him sit as a precautionary measure.

Manu was supposedly draining some 3's at the end of practice today. Reporters said his right arm brace doesn't allow him to be as effective when shooting it (go figure).

If they are going to let him suit up, I almost hope they begin the game with him on the bench and see if they can keep a lead without him. Then ease him back in during game 2 on Wednesday.

I still think they handle Memphis okay without him. Especially since he may not be as effective with the injury.

And then maybe he will start and score 30. Who knows...???

I root for them all the time, dunce. And at the end of the day, it doesn't matter whether I want them to win or not. They will win on their own merits, not based on what any individual fan thinks.

And yes, I doubt them for the same reasons that most of the world does. They don't have enough interior presence, defense, and health to win it all. They also stopped playing great team ball back in late January. So it isn't like I don't have valid reasons. You and Obi are the only homers on here expecting the Spurs to win it all playing the way they have for the last 3 months. The rest of us Spurs fans would rejoice if they get through the west, but we know that it would take a significant turn of events (or lots of luck) for that to happen.

When have I ever said anything of the sort? The Spurs will have to (and I expect them to) significantly up their game in the playoffs. A team that has won 60 games is a good team, any way you slice it. But they gotta step it up.

Don't assume that because I believe they can do it, that I'm just blindly supporting the team. It's going to be a tough, tough road.

By the same token, don't count them out based on what they've done in the past few weeks.
