Land has a good broadcast voice, but he calls the game way too similarly to Dave South (he doesn't know what the hell is happening half the time).

I watch mike breen a lot because he's on the knicks broadcasts here in the city, and when you see him doing the knicks on national tv, there is no homerism. hell, he's not even a homer when he's broadcasting the knicks games.

When he's doing the Knicks on national tv, he's being employed by a national network, and not the Knicks. The Spurs announcers were not being employed by NBAtv.

Sean Elliot does EXACTLY what he's supposed to do. Make the game more exciting for Spurs fans. I couldn't really care less about a lakers dips*** fan watching the game and complaining about a spurs announcer being a homer.

I guarantee you that you wouldn't say he's awful if he were a laker homer. So shut it.

Their paycheck comes from the Spurs so they were doing their normal broadcast, I'm not sure why people expect anything else. NBAtv picked up the Spurs broadcast, they knew what they were getting. If they wanted a national broadcast they would have sent their own crew.

And saying 'Joey Crawford almost threw him out' does not reflect badly on Sean; Crawford is an ego-maniacal lunatic who once ejected Duncan for laughing on the bench (2 technicals), resulting in Crawford's suspension for the rest of the season.

No he's not. You're the one that doesn't understand. Maybe try reading the thread carefully next time.

NBA-TV did not produce that game. The Spurs network did. NBA-TV borrowed the broadcast in an effort to rob you and I, the fan, of even more of our hard-earned money.

Why should Sean and Bill change their style just because NBA-TV decided to hijack the local broadcast and make out-of-towners pay for a stupid extra TV station to see the game?

Seriously? Do you not know how NBATv works contractually? This happens at least every Tuesday night during the regular season with NBATv fan night.

NBATv had a contractual deal with the NBA/Spurs/regional broadcast affiliate. They were compensated for the deal, and the broadcast team is more than aware they are being broadcast nationally. They would be throwing fits if they weren't compensated as such.

What difference does that make? If I'm a full-time Spurs announcer, and every once in awhile my broadcast is contractually double-dipped by NBAtv, why would I change my broadcasting style? Even if I know I'm being broadcasted nationally, I'm still a full-time Spurs employee.

Judge...that's my point. other broadcasters do it. For example, huge "homer" Joel Meyers. when the regional FSLakers broadcast is picked up by NBATv....he's not quite as much of a homer (and virtually isn't even on the regional broadcast as explained by showing the list of good broadcasters earlier)

add to that Elliot is just as home-team circle jerk is it comes....and thus why you get Elliot is one of the worst in the business. as is Bill Worrell.
