Wow. Ultimate choke. I've been a Mavs fan a long time, but not any more. Anybody can take a loss, but not like this.

Sorry, but to just say you are no longer a fan just because you are frustrated shows that you also have no sack. You were definitely not a true fan if this is truly the case.

That may be a result of multiple years of choking and today's game was the last straw. However you feel about the original poster... the mavs choked!

You're not a true mavs fan if you haven't come to expect this sort of thing year in and year out.

ive watched 95% of mavs game since 1996 and id rather have the 20-60 yeas than this.

years of chocking in the playoffs. this team will not win a playoff series again. they need to hire whoever ron artest uses for his mental health.

I buy this with college athletics. We went to A&M for four+ years so they're always gonna be our team, whether we do well or not, and they'll always deserve our support

But professional teams are exclusively entertainment. The tickets are far more expensive, profit is the bottom line for everything, etc. So if your team sucks and you don't enjoy watching them, stop.

That epic choke & ultimately the loss was tough to take, but I will be watching and pulling for them Monday night to go up in the series 3-2. Huge game!

But I do know of Rolando Blackman and Derek Harper and Donaldson. That's about it.

Jason Kidd and on is what I remember.

I heard on the radio they are like 2-20 in road playoff games over the last few years.

We will see what type of guts the Mavs have. Will take some serious big ones to rebound from a loss like that. They just need to remember that for most of this series they have been the better team.

It is funny to me that the current core group of Spurs will always get a pass because they've acheived the ultimate goal. They've had their share of choke jobs, and Saturday's game was no exception. 7 seconds left on the clock and we don't even get a shot off?

Parker is not getting a pass from me. He's been useless this series, and we need him to look like Tony Parker tonight if we expect to win the game.

I think people are laying off the Spurs because they still expect them to win the series.

We have two starters playing like they walked in off the street. Parker isn't getting a pass from anyone, he's been awful.

Duncan and Manu have been balling, if the Spurs have an early exit it won't be those two guys' fault.

Everyone else has only been in SA for a year or two.

I halfway expect this as well, but I don't know how an unobjective observer could expect this. That said, I expect the Mavs to win as well.

Memphis has got a smart coach. There is a formula for shutting down Parker, and he knows what it is. Clog the lane. That's why the Spurs have been so unsuccessful against the Lakers in recent memory...they know that the key to stopping SA is clogging the lane and shutting down the floor general. I think SA has to get its outside shooters to un-pucker their buttholes and make some outside shots. Spread the floor and let Tony have room to work.

It isn't like he's missing a lot of easy layins. He's getting buried in the lane by Memphis' bigs.

I never realized how excellent Memphis' team defense is. I think they are a lot better that people realize, especially defensively.

If we could just get some halfway decent shooting from the arc, we wouldn't be in this mess.

Hopefully that takes a turn for the better tonight.

Parker has blown a ton of layups in this series. They haven't all been open, but getting those tough baskets in the paint used to be his signature move. Then throw in the bad jump shots he has been taking, turnovers, and mediocre defense and it's a bad series for him.

A lot of the team ball movement starts with penetration. Right now Manu is the only one the Grizzlies fear, which is why the offense runs so much better with Manu than Tony at the moment. Manu isn't shooting particularly well, but he is still running the offense. Without great ball movement there won't be many good shots against a defense like Memphis.
