3/22 Bulls at Hawks

Bulls up 72-43 at halftime and win by 33. Hawks will be motivated by that no doubt.

If we can grab the first two at home, I'm not too worried. My prediction would be Bulls in 5 or 6, but I could see it going 7 if the Bulls can't steal game 3 or 4 in Atlanta.

Hopefully Boston and Miami will beat up on eachother.

Supposedly Kirk Hinrich will miss this entire series. That REALLY hurts Atlanta as he is their best defensive player and would have been matched up against DRose.

No Hinrich kills the Hawks. Jamal Crawford is going to have the pleasure of watching DRose dominate the game. He played terrible D when he was with the Bulls and hasn't improved any.

Game over. Hawks win game 1. Maybe all those close games with Indiana were a sign that the Bulls aren't going to blow anyone away. Atlanta is really tough at home, so Chicago really needs to win game 2.

I feel like we're running out of gas. Possibly enough left in the tank to get by Atlanta, but Miami...

I am serious, Simple. It may take 6 games, but I still believe that the Bulls win this series. Why? The Hawks beat the Bulls once in the regular season and it took a career high game from Horford to barely sneak by in Atlanta. In the other games, the Bulls won by 18 and 33. The Bulls played horrible defense last night and Johnson/Crawford were hitting every ridiculous shot they threw up. Hell, Johnson was 100% from 3-point range. Do you think that's going to happen every game? Atlanta played with much more energy last night and it was evident on the glass, where the Hawks had a 1 rebound advantage. In their one regular season win, the Bulls still outrebounded Atlanta by 6. The margins in the other games were 22 and 14. Add all these factors up and the Hawks managed an 8-point victory. Congrats to them on a game well played. They absolutely deserved to win last night. But there's no reason to think that the Bulls still won't win this series.

The problem right now is Atlanta doesn't need any more miraculous games from JJ or Crawford to win the series. If the Bulls continue playing like this, the Hawks will be able to hold serve in Atlanta without having to play exceptional basketball.

Assuming Boozer remains a no-show and Rose's ankle won't let him be Rose, I'll be happy to force a game 7 in Chicago. But I'm still holding out hope for a turnaround.

Interesting stat from last night... everyone on the Bulls had a negative +/- except Korver who was +17

Yeah, a few times I questioned why Korver was not out there more. The Bulls just need to play with energy and get after it on the defensive end like they usually do.

Disagree. Both of them were unconscious last night coupled with a poor perfoemance all around from the Bulls and it was still an 8-point game.
