Who should it be? The pecking order seems to be:

Brian Shaw
Rick Adelman
Jeff Van Gundy
Mike Dunleavy

Personally, I think Adelman will happen. I think the Lakers are done with the triangle, and he had enough success in Sac town to impress the Lakers.

If the Lakers want to keep the triangle, it'll be Shaw. The primary decision maker will be Jim Buss. also, another reason why Bynum might be sticking around. Jimmy loves Bynum.

I think it'll be Shaw as a test run for a year. If he blows it, they'll go for a bigger name.

I don't blame him for liking Bynum. He's a pretty darn good player (when healthy) for a 23-year-old.

As a Laker fan I'd like to see them go after Adelman. I think he can manage the personalities well like Phil and also do away with the triangle! Let's get a PG and go!

Shaw would be nice too for continuity but as I mentioned - Triangle 10 years ago is NOT the same triangle today!
