Funny how boozer is getting hated on while he had 26 and 17. D rose had 20 and 5 assists and was barely noticeable on the court.
although he missed a ton of point blank shots...this is also equally true.
D-Rose had a lot of bad possessions tonight, many that didn't show up in the stat sheet. He didn't have a great offensive line considering how many he took right at the bucket, had 0 assists in the 1st half(for most of the 2nd quarter Boozer was the ONLY reason they stayed close until Deng his 2 3's late), and Rose forced a lot.
many acting like boozer was the problem tonight...and that couldn't be further from the truth. The problem was the lack of outside shooting from Chicago wing players, and too much focus on the offense to Rose. The bulls demolished Miami in game 1 without a huge night from boozer.
The reason the Heat stifled them was because they can go to 3 different stars(2 of them superstars). The bulls have 1 superstar, and no other stars. They play awesome defense, have some good spot up shooters, more depth,etc...but they don't have a 2nd super-star.
Anyone thinking boozer would be that before the season of before the playoffs is fooling themselves.
All that being said, the bulls could still win the entire series due to the defense played by both teams. Big time defensive games and sloppy offenses can result in either team wining...but they need more help from their perimeter shooters if they want a prayer of getting to the NBA finals.
As per the Heat...someone better beat them this year, or else it could be tough for a while, as they are on basically a "test run" and know what they'll need to build around their top 3 in the future to be even better.
I think Dallas poses the best matchup for them, simply because Dallas has multiple guys who can consistently shoot it, and they play smart offensive basketball. Defensively, they turn it on and off.
Bulls need to play smarter in game 4...and I hope they do. ECF deserve to be every bit as intriguing as the WCF have been.
