The Heat far from had control of game 1 despite the worst shooting by the Mavs you're ever going to see. The Mavs allowed 31 points off turnovers in game 2, and the Heat still blew it because they can't close. You can say they closed against the East teams, but, in reality, those other teams couldn't make shots when it mattered like the Mavs do on a regular basis. Get used to it

sacampbell07It looked like Dwade wanted a foul on his three pointer as time expired. What a baby. I even like him as a Mavs fan, but he's making me think again with his behavior all series. Go crazy on a ref when he thought he was fouled on a layup that when seen in slow motion, really doesn't look like a foul. What a *****.

No foul at the end. Wade was just doing what a lot of players do in that situation (begging for a call @ the end of the game).

I listened to ESPN radio all day and every host and guest except for one all said this was a total Heat Collapse. Very little if any credit to the Mav's. It's like they've all forgot that the Mavericks have played some damn good ball this post season and have come back from being down time and time again. The guy filling in for Gotleib actually said the Heat have dominated these games except for the last 5 minutes of game 2. I guess he wasn't paying attention when the Mav's where leading most of the way through the 1st half last night and put on their own big run to start the 2nd half.

As they say, fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. When are these people going to wake up and realize the Mav's have a legitimate shot to win this thing?

I'm still not ready to say the Mav's now have the upper hand in this series but they sure aren't much of an underdog if any at this point.

On a side note, I loved watching Stewart Scott and Michael Wilbon on the post game show last night right after the game. Both of them looked stunned and nauseous. Some of these analyst and sports host are way too biased and it shows when their favorites go down.

I can't remember who it was this morning on the radio that said it but they said the Heat were going for the kill shot instead of playing solid ball and it caught up to them.

Of course the Heat melted down - here's a newsflash - you can't lose a 15 point lead unless you make some mistakes.

At the same time, there are plenty of cases where teams had 15 point leads, played like crap trying to drain the clock and the other team still couldn't come back - or even get close.

So yeah, the Heat played poorly - you'll never see a team blow a double digit lead that late without playing poorly - but the Mavs took every ounce of what was made available to them. If you gave a guy an inch, he was hitting the shot - if you were out of place, you were getting burned - and in the end, they pulled it out.

Like some others have said - the Mavs haven't played a good game yet. Sure, alot of it is due to Miami's defense - but if the Mavs get on track back in Dallas, this thing could be over for the heat - quick.

The Mavs certainly havent been playing like their LAL OKC form. Its been hard to watch. I wont say they have been intimidates by the Heat defense but they have respected it a little too much. There have been nearly 10 shots of Terry and JJ driving the lane where they pull up and let loose before they get a decent shooting motion to get off a good shot. They worry that Haslem or LBJ will swat it if they take an extra .2sec to get a better shot off.

Hopefully that comeback will shake off some jitters of playing that really athletic team and the Mavs will start executing again. The first half of that 4th quarter the Mavs were sloppy, the second half it wasnt about late game heroics it was about simple game plan execution that was suspect in the previous 40 mins.

In my opinion it was as much a miraculous collapse comeback as it was a collapse. Miami did get stupid on offense heaving all of those jump shots after drilling the clock down, didn't foul with one to give, and didn't double dirk or put the right guy on him. But Dallas did make pretty much all the shots at the end, the set plays got people clean looks, and in the end Dallas' super star went to the basket instead of pulling up for his fadeaway.

The miraculous part is that the refs left it up to the players to decide the outcome. You cant claim that Dallas or the Heat were getting the calls.

You know guys, it is ok to be a Mavs fan and root for your team and to believe that they will win this series.

But can you stop the incessant whining about your team not getting any respect. Its like what the Ags have to do in every sport ,you earn your respect by simply winning. If the Mavs win, they will get the respect they deserve as champions.

The Heat have two of the top 25 players to ever play this game; The Mavs have one. To me ,all of these players have been highlighted and celebrated in his series and rightfully so. If it seems like the commentators favor Miami, so what? To me, that puts more pressure on the Heat, who I am rooting for in this series.
