I like this trade. Three players for George Hill? I think Indiana really wanted the local kid.
Going into the draft, Leonard was one of the guys I really liked. Obviously Pop and RC like him as well. And then they get the Bertans kid who many had projected the Spurs taking him at 29, it was well publicized that they like him. Then they get Joseph at 29 who may be able to immediately fill that backup PG slot. IMO, he's a solid PG and not a tweener. He also has good size and played defense even as a fish at tu.
I like Hill and would have been fine with trading Tony. But the reality is this is a guard heavy team. Neal and Anderson need minutes and it can't always be in a small lineup. If Memphis showed us anything, it's that you can never have enough long and athletic guys. Leonard had San Diego State ranked in the top 5 last year. His only weakness is apparently his jump shot. I guess I'm in the minority but yeah, I like the trade.
