The Mavs have a chance to go deep into the playoffs or flop in the first round. The team is deep but RC needs to continue working the rotation mix to find the right balance. Dirk also needs to regain the mojo from last year. While I know he is coming off an injury, he is laboring on both sides of the court. His defensive footwork is particularly poor, even by his standards.

Currently one game ahead of Phoenix. If the Suns stay hot and Mavs don't close it out well, there's a very real chance they miss the playoffs.

Theres a chance they'll miss, but not a big one. I'd be shocked if they didn't make it.

And as long as Dirk is there, the Mavs are dangerous.

IF the mavs make it in, ill still take them over the spurs.

I agree with the last 4 posters. Mavs could miss the playoffs but if they don't they could be dangerous.

Sounds like a contradiction but it really isn't. The last week is like an All Star break for the Mavs. A healthy veteran team is always dangerous in the playoffs, especially when you have a coach like Carlisle.
