Feel free to vent the names of your least favorite ref to see doing a game, but if you could only cast 1 vote, who would you say is the worst ref in the NBA today?

I think I would go with Violet Palmer.

The best refs are the refs who are unknown to the average fan. We all know who Bavetta and Crawford are because they suck and try to make themselves part of the game. The ones who simply call the game and don't try to glorify themselves are the best

Steve Javie was a complete a-hole. Quickest T whistle I think I've ever seen. I ahd no idea he retired.

Ken Mauer last night was doing his best Mickey Gordon (Billy Crystal) last night. 5 technicals and two ejections in the game, and I think he delivered all of them.

In terms of acting in the video, Reggie Miller is probably the worst. Not bad by David Robinson (certainly better than Hakeem).

Joey Crawford is the worst, because he goes beyond bad calls to being a dick just because he can. He's like a powertripping small-town cop. Second is Bavetta because he's such a drama queen.

Ken Mauer sucks

On that Thabeet incident, they tossed him for shoving Davis, but if you look at the replay, Davis comes from behind Thabeet to restrain him, and him being so much shorter, Thabeet never even saw that it was a ref, he probably just thought it was a teammate or player. That's what they saw on the replay and why it was rescinded.

Mauer had a rough night when Memphis stomped OKC last month. I was at that game and he lost control of it early and never re-gained it. Maybe an off night, but definitely a ****astic performance. I'm not just saying this because OKC lost that game either, it was bad both ways.

I think everyone has off nights. I can't imagine how difficult it would be to manage all the personalities in the NBA in such a fast moving sport.
