Nba players can be real vaginas. Go to a soccer game in Mexico or europe to see what real rowdy fans look like.

Two more points:

A) One of the few times that the NBA got headlines in November while the NFL and NCAA football were going on.

B) Clearly, they need to charge more for concessions in Detroit. I've never come close to being so angry at someone that I've wanted to throw a $7 drink and $6 popcorn at them.

I remember watching this live. Randomly turned to the game, maybe 5 minutes before it went down.

Article does a really good job of communicating that no one person caused it. Artest, SJax, the beer thrower, Wallace, sh-tty refs - any one of them acting like a knucklehead independently probably wouldn't have been much of anything.

It was fun to watch though.

We are all lucky that Stephen Jackson forgot his guns in the locker room.

I doubt there are many, if any, NBA players afraid to go into the stands. Show me one soccer player who would go after an opposing fan like Artest did. They would literally end up dead.

I really meant in the way Ron reacted to the beer throwing, not how "tough" he is. He's a thug and acted like such.

I'm talking more about dealing with rowdy fans. Have you ever seen what Donovan has to deal with when he plays in Azteca in Mexico City? Debris flies at him from all directions when he takes corner kicks. Multiply that by 10 and that's European fans.

They deal with it and keep playing. NBA players should do the same. Granted, they're not used to that kind of treatment here in the US, but they're professional athletes. They should know they have to deal with hatred from opposing fanbases. But Artest treated the situation like he was laying on a bench in the hood and someone threw something at him, not like he was at a game.

That's the thing. If it really different if you are used to it everywhere you go and everywhere you play for years and when it absolutely never happens. Also, remember that there were only THREE cops in the entire Palace. The players had 90 year old ushers between them and the fans.
