well, it's SMU, so i doubt the recruiting pressure is going to be too bad.

71 isn't nearly as old as it used to be, and the guy says he isn't content to just sit around. he wants to coach. i'm sure he'll be just fine.

That'll be great for SMU for a year, at which point Larry will get restless and have the itch to move on to greener pastures again.

Brown sure likes to move around. He will probably get itchy feet in Dallas also.

I don't really understand the decision to interview, there is the Portland job that just opened and I'm sure a few others that will open up that are much more appealing, like if Spoelstra doesn't win it this year. Also, I'm sure there were plenty of bigger name programs that would be interested in him. SMU must be giving him a pretty nice offer for him to even consider it.
