Indiana just gave away home court by playing like they were figuring out how to play.

Magic score the last 11 points, and Pacers miss all types of shots the last 4 minutes of the game. Both teams looked bad.

How is Jason Collins in the NBA? He has 0 NBA skills. And somehow he's on a playoff team. Just more evidence in support of the argument that your roles players are little more than random interchangeable parts. But Collins may be the worst player in the entire playoffs and maybe the entire NBA.

In Rondo's defense, Marc Davis sucks as a ref.


Based on precedence of past Rondo offenses (tossing of Hinrich, hitting the head of Brad Miller, etc.), Rondo will not miss time.

Rondo should get suspended for the bump, but what a horrible call to make by the official. Loose ball scrum on the floor with 3 seconds on the shot clock. Rondo has every right to be pissed because it killed their opportunity to steal that game, but the bump is inexcusable. I do wonder what exactly he said on the first technical though because that was a hella quick call by the ref.

Rondo admitted that he deserved the first technical, so debating how quickly it was called is moot - besides, it doesn't take a dissertation to earn a T.

Furthermore, the fact that the ball is loose on the floor is no defense for fouling another player in an attempt to secure it. There were two fouls by Boston there, and the Celtics got away with the first one.

Being on the floor doesn't give the other team permission to maul you. Not sure Brandon Bass got a whole lot of ball when trying to get it from Josh Smith. Bass looked like he grabbed more head than ball. I would understand no-call in that situation, but a foul isn't a horrible call.

But again, as I mentioned above Marc Davis is a horrible ref.

Paul Pierce and the Celtics showed up tonight, especially in the 4th.

Josh Smith's injury will be worth watching. I still think it will come back to Atlanta 2-2, but Boston took control tonight.

Stepped on someone's foot driving to the basket during a fast break and twisted his ankle. It was pretty nasty. He tried to return but was gimping up and down the court.

I'll be very surprised if he's ready for game four unless they shoot him up with painkillers.

In the other game to determine who will face Miami, the Celtics beat the Hawks, who were without Josh Smith.
