Officiating in the NBA is piss poor.

Last night was horrendous.
The 2006 Finals was horrendous.
The LAL-SAC game was horrendous.

The reasons for the NBA disregard are:

The league genuinely doesn’t care about perception.
The league views validation of a bias as confirmation of a much larger issue with officiating, so they ignore known issues.
Stern is actually Vince McMahon, and the NBA hasn’t come far enough along in their storyline to officially reveal the results are predetermined.

Since this is a thread about officiating, not the series as a whole:

The Thunder likely would have won the series, but it was a shame to see one of the most epic ballgames through three quarters that I've ever watched get squelched by Joey Crawford's whistle in the 4th quarter. Every 50/50 call went to the Thunder, every time Durant/Westbrook touched the ball in the second half they got a call, and there were several really egregious calls or nocalls that either took points off the board or gave the ball back to the Thunder. I'm particularly thinking of the charge on Ginobili as Leonard hit the 3, Leonard getting smashed over the head, Neal getting called for an foul when Fisher pushed off, Durant sliding under a driver and getting the charge call, etc. etc.

Seriously, how do they let Crawford ref a Spurs elimination game? It's bad enough that he's still getting NBA games at all.
