Skip likes to vehemently tie himself to one side or the other of polarizing athletes (LeBron, Tebow) to keep himself relevant.
What a joke. Props to Cubes.

So glad he called skip and all media guys out who just play the "they wanted it more" card instead of really trying to understand why teams win and lose.

If a former player says something, like Sir Charles, then I will listen since he may have a point. But some pencilneck like Bayless, please.

It's been well-established that ESPN's Skip Bayless is a workout fiend. He spends endless hours on the treadmill, and looks to be in fantastic shape for his age. It's also been well-established that Bayless is a fame-hungry sellout that will say anything on air (and formerly, before he realized it wasn't making him famous enough, in print) just to draw a reaction, and more eyes, and more ratings. Recently, Bayless criticized Oklahoma City point guard Russell Westbrook without the slightest bit of basketball smarts, or hint of nuance, much less research. OKC All-Star Kevin Durant rightfully took his obsessive brand of ignorance to task, and Bayless responded by pumping up his own credits as a high school point guard who finally learned that PGs should think "pass" 12 times before they fire away, on Twitter.
Bayless' ESPN co-host Jalen Rose, after a bit of research of his own, took on Skip after Bayless claimed that he started as a shot-happy point guard for a high school team that made the state finals in Oklahoma. Bayless didn't start for his high school squad, it turns out, and didn't even play for the varsity until his senior season, when he averaged 1.4 points per game. Here's the video of Rose calling a clearly uncomfortable Bayless out:

Do you think Stephen A. Smith was thinking "I'm glad it's not me", or focusing on not busting out laughing?

I think that's the first time ever that the "wanted it more" analysis got called out. So great b/c that analysis is pure garbage and just a cop-out for commentators and sports writers that don't know how to actually break down performances.

I think you should look at some of the Jordan v. Kobe (or LBJ) threads, or really, a good chunk of sport related threads on texags for this similar analysis.
It's amazing how much Jordan's "Will to win" and "killer instinct" appeared when he had strong teammates to go with him.

To be fair, though, Cuban obviously had no idea what he was talking about, either. It was like 2 idiots on TA debating each other. Crawford asked him a simple question about what exactly they did to shut down Lebron and he basically spit out "adjustments" and "confusion" which is just as empty as Skips "will to win" comments. And then his response to his own question about the defensive scheme that the Thunder utilized against Lebron was just as atrocious. "They double down, and then they dish." LOLWUT?
