Kyle Lowry is expecting to be traded in the next 24 hours, according to sources close to the point guard. Front-runners are Toronto and Sacramento, although Toronto thinks they have a good shot at landing Steve Nash.

Keeping Dragic would indicate to me that Lowry is a goner. Could be a ton of moves throughout the weekend.

Pau used to play with Memphis before the Lakeshow. I assume that's what he's referring to?

I am. I rather have Cousins than Dwight Howard. Both of them got attitude issues, Howard has crappy back, Howard is more expensive, Howard is more risky.

But if we draft Drummond I hope we hold on to him instead of packaging him to Orlando. Dude could become a force with the proper coaching, and to Coach McHale's credit, he is a pretty damn good coach when it comes to big men

I said this back during the NCAA tournament and received the wrath of TexAgs, but I stand by it: if anyone is going to be Thabeet 2.0 in this draft, it is Anthony Davis. He needs to put on some serious weight or he will get pushed around. Drummond might be lacking in intelligence, but I'm not concerned about his ability to compete against the other bigs in this league. He will at least be able to hold his own down on the block

Thabeet's problems were lack of athleticism and intelligence. Anthony Davis lacks neither. Davis might be more of a 4 than a 5, but he definitely no Thabeet.

Thabeet's biggest problem was he was useless on offense unless he was on the block going for an uncontested dunk or alley oop. It's not that he was unathletic (which I'm not disputing your point, but he had enough athleticism to dominate in college), but Thabeet's problem is that he never developed a decent jump shot. Davis has a much better offensive game than Thabeet, but I think he'll have the same struggles on the defensive end due to a lack of strength

Per Davis vs Thabeet

In their last year of college they both averaged 10+ rebounds, 4+ blocks, and ~14 pts a game. So statistically they may seem the same, but looking deeper Thabeet had almost an extra TO and PF per game and Davis has almost an extra steal and assist per game. The biggest numbers to focus on however is 7-3 vs 6-10 as in height. Thabeet dominated by just being bigger than everyone else and it didnt really get him anywhere in the NBA. He is basically a foul machine because he has no lateral movement. Davis is average height for a center, yet still posted equally dominating stats on the defensive end. I think that shows how much more athleticism and smarts Davis possesses and why most dont think he is Thabeet 2.0.

Except Davis has the speed and non-t-rex arms to effectively cover half the floor on D and he has incredible hands and a high b-ball IQ vs. Thabeet's stone hands and bag of rocks brain on the floor.

No guarantees on Davis, but the idea he'll be Thabeet 2.0 is nothing short of being contrarian just to be contrarian.

I'm scared of Drummond simply because terms like 'he's clay to be molded' and '4 year project' are getting thrown around... even by his own college coach. He's a great athlete, but he's hardly a good basketball player yet. He's Stromile Swift. Those guys should go mid-1st round or later, not at the top of the lottery.

That's a fair assessment. I agree, I think Davis will be better than Thabeet. I'm not suggesting otherwise. I'm just saying that if I had to pick one player who might be a bust like Thabeet, I would go with Davis. I do think that he will have some major growing pains in his first few years in the league though

I have read from multiple sources that the Rockets fate at getting the #5 pick revolves around Thomas Robinson. If he does not go in the top 4 then Kings draft him at 5. If he goes before 5 then they will take Lowry and picks for the #5 pick.

Edit: of course there is potential for other trades to be made if the Kings don't act quick enough
