I agree MJ is better, but that shouldn't diminish what Kobe has done. The fact that people have this discussion/reaction is a credit to Kobe.

He is undisputedly one of the top 10 players to ever play the game and you could make a strong case for top 5.

Of course he has more stats, but not better averages.

I also don't remember Jordan taking so many bad shots.... granted Kobe makes some of those. Kobe has a better shot but MJ was more explosive. Very similar in a lot of respects though.

You won't see me arguing with this. Kobe is a beast. I can't stand him (as a person and because he's on the Fakers), but there's no debating that he is an amazing basketball player
