Don't know why they wouldn't have done the surgery a few weeks ago so he wouldn't have missed as many regular season games... Hopefully the new guys can pick up the slack and keep us above water till Dirk returns.

Not that big of a deal in the long run. Like I said in another thread, the Mavs have plenty to stay afloat until he gets back. It sounds like he'll only really miss the month of November, maybe some of December.

The Clippers in 03-04 finished with a 28-54 record. Two of those starters: mostly healthy Chris Kamen and Elton Brand.

Dallas will roll out with a less healthy version of those 2, but maybe they can try to get Corey Magette, and make a "why not" trade to get Q. Richardson.

Yeah, but I thought Kevin love was out 8weeks?

Mavs season is done. Dirk took a whole month last season to "get in shape"...what happen now with rehab included?

The Dallas Mavericks are optimistic that star power forward Dirk Nowitzki's return from arthroscopic surgery on his right knee will be closer to three weeks than six weeks, multiple sources said.

Dirk had a little more active offseason this year.
