Taking action against the spurs who were ruining the integrity of the game with their bull****

****ing bull****. Nothing against it in the rulebook and it's their 4th roadgame in 5 days.

You can't ruin the integrity of the game in November.

What's next, all starters must play 20 minutes per game? No sitting starters once playoff seeding is determined? Fines for lack of hustle? Banning Vinnie Del Negro for being a sh**ty coach?

BS by the league to schedule the Spurs so many games prior and the Heat on 4 days rest.

I hope Pop actually gives Stern the middle finger.

Amen (for Ulrich). Basketball is hard on your joints and tendons, and playing 4 games in 5 days puts players at risk of injury (you want more recovery time than that). Bravo to Pop for giving the NBA the finger for this stupid scheduling stretch.

Integrity? Spurs have played 5 games in 7 days and will be playing the Heat who hasn't played since Saturday.

Their salaries should definitely be paid back to the league and split amongst the Miami fans who paid hard earned money in this economy.

The Spurs should be required to sit the starters against Memphis at home. Mandated.

As a Lakers fan I am thrilled Pop is making these terrible decisions. The Spurs are too old the just flip a switch. The championship starts NOW. And since Pop has consistently rested starters, his best players have kept getting injured, unable to build any consistency or game shape.

And most importantly, this tactic has proved completely ineffective as the Spurs have not even come close to winning a championship since Pop started this.

Stern absolutely needs to let it be. Thus goes against conspiracy theories. The more Spurs rest their guys, obviously the less chance they've proven to not win a title.

It the game was against Charlotte and not on national TV, Stern wouldn't give a sh.t.

Well he's not wrong. The spurs are mandated TV appearances. Why should he give them league assigned games like this and people not get the product they are paying to see.

Who the hell wants to watch Tim Duncan play? He's a boring guy.

Parker is French. Ginobili is Argentinian.

Boooooooooooooooooooring.

Stern isn't going to do a damn thing and if he tried to the Spurs will fight it and win.

There is no rule against it and Pop is trying to WIN a championship.

He isn't doing this just to spite anyone. He is doing it to win a championship the best way he can.

I would be indignant and incredibly pissed off if I were the Spurs owner and Pop.

There is a lot of stupid **** in sports. This might be the dumbest ****ing thing I have ever seen a league try to do. You made a horrible schedule and then try and sanction a team for personnel decisions that protect their players?

What a crock of ****. Like porta potty after chilifest crock of ****.

Lol, Spurs winning in the 3. Spolestra is pissed knowing Pop and his players are getting the better of the Heat.

Uhhh, how the **** can you possibly defend Stern here? Its up to the Spurs to play who they want to play. What if he had just given them all DNP's and they sat on the bench, how is that any different?

I'd expect to see this overturned.

What if the Spurs just refuse the fine they are going to get? The case will likely go to an arbitrator who will 100% likely side with the Spurs. I doubt the fine will be significant, but it'd be a nice "**** you" to Stern to refuse to pay the fine.

I really wish they could have pulled this game out, but Lebron was just too good late.

Still going to be awfully tough for Stern to play the noncompetitive card.

You have posted some dumbass s*** over the years, because, well quite frankly you're a complete dumbass, but this is probably your worst post yet.

As for the OP, well you've rivaled him for sure with your "ruining the integrity of the game comment".

What a couple of idiots.

This really isn't that much different than teams doing it before the playoffs. The Grizzlies did something similar to this near the end of the season 2 years ago, and unlike what some believed, it wasn't to "tank" to play the Spurs, it was to stay healthy and rested.

Health is such a huge factor in the NBA.

If Stern wants to try to set a precedent now, he's going to have to justify the end of the season benchings that go on.
