Howard - 17.8 PPG, 12.6 RPG, 2.63 BPG
Duncan - 17.2 PPG, 9.6 RPG, 2.78 BPG
Aldridge - 20.6 PPG, 8.6 RPG, 1.32 BPG
Ibaka - 14.0 PPG, 8.3 RPG, 2.87, BPG

Howard = second on your list in points, first in rebounds, and third in blocks (5th in NBA)

Say what you will about the Laker record, but Howard is producing stats at or better than any center in the NBA.

way to hit him with some facts look out below.

I agree that on the whole it looks like dwight hasnt had a great year, but upon further inspection he is dominating lately.

Plus the All Star game is supposed to promote the game, and he has the pedigree as the best center in the game

I'm okay with Howard in there. He's starting to get the 'Legacy' votes which happens whenever you have fans voting. He's got the stats, but has a horrible record. Duncan and David Lee are the most deserving of bench spots, IMO.

Howard is the king of empty stats for an underachieving team. If you think that's all star worthy then fine.

OP,

With the possible exception of the amazingly rejuvenated Tim Duncan, an NBA GM would suck a dick to trade any of those guys straight up for Dwight.

Look and those numbers and know that he hasn't been 100% all season and wasn't even supposed to play before January.

The Lakers have a lot of reasons for underachieving, but Dwight isn't one of them.

Sorry, but you come off as a hater.

It's the NBA Allstar game, if that's who the fans pick, who cares?

I hate the Lakers, but am old enough to know the Allstar game is meaningless.

I tell Grizz fans around here that you could predict 7-8 of the 10 All Star spots before the season started. And for that matter, it isn't tough to predict what the full squad is going to be.

There was no reason not to believe that all 5 of the WC starters would be the same (with Howard replacing Bynum).

In the East, pretty easy to predict that LBJ, Melo, and Wade would return as starters. With Rose and Howard out, the only other reasonable suspects besides Garnett and Rondo were DWill and Bosh.

Speaking of the Grizz, Z-Bo has to get some consideration as well.

I'm not surprised and I'm not saying the process should change. I'm just saying NBA fans continually vote guys in without really doing any evaluation. Shoot, I remember Magic getting the second most votes despite not playing a single minute of the season when he discovered the HIV.

Saying Howard has been hurt just proves my point. He's put up decent numbers on a bad team and hasn't really had an impact. I dont care that he was hurt, its supposed to be based on performance and everybody can get injured.

BTW, I am a hater of overrated self indulgent "superstars". I really hope he decides to stay with the Lakers so they can continue to underachieve for years to come. Howard is the basketball version of ARod.

WC Reserves as predicted by TNT crew.

Harden and David Lee were unanimous.

3 vote getters (abstainer)
Duncan (Barkley)
Westbrook (Jet)
Parker (Barkley)
ZBo (Webber)

2 votes:
Aldridge (Jet & Barkley)
Steph Curry (Webber & Shaq)

Other guys getting a vote Ibaka, Crawford, Gasol.

Kenny the Jet realized he accidently left Westbrook off, and would of probably taken off Curry.

Timmy has had his best year in years
He still means so much for the spurs, they can still run their offense thru him
He played well tonight and showed why he deserves

Not sure a new thread is needed for the reserves:

WC
Aldridge
Duncan
Harden
Westbrook
Parker
D. Lee
Z Randolph

EC
Deng
Bosh
Tyson Chandler
Paul George
Jrue Holiday
K. Irving
Noah

I think if I was ranking the 14 reserves, I would probably take the 7 in the WC in the first 9.

Zero complaints about the reserves.

Should've been Lopez over Bosh in the East.

Steph Curry over Tony Parker and Marc Gasol over Aldridge in the West.
