I'm okay with Howard in there. He's starting to get the 'Legacy' votes which happens whenever you have fans voting. He's got the stats, but has a horrible record. Duncan and David Lee are the most deserving of bench spots, IMO.
I tell Grizz fans around here that you could predict 7-8 of the 10 All Star spots before the season started. And for that matter, it isn't tough to predict what the full squad is going to be.
There was no reason not to believe that all 5 of the WC starters would be the same (with Howard replacing Bynum).
In the East, pretty easy to predict that LBJ, Melo, and Wade would return as starters. With Rose and Howard out, the only other reasonable suspects besides Garnett and Rondo were DWill and Bosh.
I'm not surprised and I'm not saying the process should change. I'm just saying NBA fans continually vote guys in without really doing any evaluation. Shoot, I remember Magic getting the second most votes despite not playing a single minute of the season when he discovered the HIV.
Saying Howard has been hurt just proves my point. He's put up decent numbers on a bad team and hasn't really had an impact. I dont care that he was hurt, its supposed to be based on performance and everybody can get injured.
BTW, I am a hater of overrated self indulgent "superstars". I really hope he decides to stay with the Lakers so they can continue to underachieve for years to come. Howard is the basketball version of ARod.
Timmy has had his best year in years
He still means so much for the spurs, they can still run their offense thru him
He played well tonight and showed why he deserves
