Yeah, that master plan of getting Dwight and Deron doesn't look so hot right now.

Yes, I'm sure they're feeling very fortunate to be sitting at 22-28, while the Nets are 29-22.

I said this the other day. Mavs fans should be happy they didn't land Dwight or D-Will.

There is a shortage of NBA superstars that aren't flawed in some fashion. That is what makes players like Durant and Duncan so special, because guys like Deron, Carmello, and Howard seem to be more common.

Avery Johnson led the team to a 14-14 record.
They have gone 15-8 with PJ.

If indeed Deron got Avery fired, they are a better team because of it.

Not a Mavs fan, but they are a contender with Dwight and D-Will.

Classic...so now it's a good thing you can't land big name free agents...I suppose you still think it was wise of Cuban to dismantle a championship team too right?

I think D12 is the Mavs plan A this offseason. His injury issues are pretty concerning.

I think Cuban made a terrible mistake breaking up a Championship team. Hell, I think everybody know that including him. He just won't admit it.

You're right...he'll just champion financial flexibility and go about his business...my thing is (from an outsider persepctive) he seems to love the mavs more than any other business and is an involved owner, and if he thought he could swing Dwight adn Deron ok, swing and miss...but if what I heard is true, he wasn't even at teh negotiation table when Williams came into town...how is that possible? If you idea was to load up on Dwill, why not be there face to face...whether you think Williams was a good/bad idea, Cuban pushed that for months, then didn't show?

Either way, Dirk has lost about 10 steps since 2011. Time to unload him and rebuild.

Even if he has, I wouldn't want to do that. Now if the offseason comes and goes and no impact players are added (very likely), we should trade him somewhere he wants to go and contend.

Cuban wasn't there at the negotiation table. Not sure how much it mattered. Deron has said it bothered him, but of course he is going to say that. The fact is we probably weren't getting him anyways. His wife likes NJ/the Hamptons too much.
