I read that Westbrook never missed a college or high school game either.

Especially considering his style of play. I think I heard something similar about Tavon Austin last night as well, that he hadn't missed a game ever.

They literally put up that stat and talked about it during the break in action the last game. Sucks. I enjoy watching Westbrook play.

based on that gif Sher Thing posted and other videos I have seen of the play I think Beverley was just being aggressive. Kyle Lowry used to do the same thing, and guys have slowed up like that before (Ginobili) to make you think they are calling timeout and then they haul a** to the basket

Lowry was dirty. Beverley was just being "tries too hard" guy (I'd know, that's my pick up hoop persona because I suck at basketball). Hell I've seen Westbrook go for the exact steal before. Russ is just worked up because he's now out at the most crucial time of year.

I have seen that exact play 100 times throughout the years. It doesn't work often but it isn't a dirty play.

I don't think anyone is saying it's dirty. I know no one up here is at least (of the people I talk to). Especially since Russ does the same thing often.

His speed spreads our defenses so much. This is devastating for okc. Yea he's a ball hog but he's almost as good as he thinks he is...

And most of the Thunder independent bloggers who I follow on Twitter, are saying the exact opposite of those quotes you posted.

Has that move ever worked? I see people try it all the time, but never come close.

A few points...

1. This isn't a serious injury and won't impact the rest of his career.
2. Durant now gets at least 5 more shots per game.
3. Ibaka now gets more shots. Both he and Durant shoot a higher % than Russ. Obviously we lose a lot without him but it isn't like the cupboard is bare.
4. Should Houston push it to 6 or even 7 games that is more time for him to be back by the WCF if they get that far. Point is, I'd rather play Houston without him than SA or certainly Memphis or LAC.
5. It was an aggressive play but it wasn't dirty.
