The time he's trying to get a call and he's the number 2 flopper is a stretch.
But obviously you think he's a bigger flopper than manu even when 99.9% of non spurs fans will disagree with you
To first state that saying 95% is a stretch but then go on to say 99.9% of all other fan bases would agree with your opinion is a bigger stretch. Let's keep the hyperbole down a bit.
Manu used to drop to the floor a lot but in the recent years he's stopped doing it (as much). I agree that age has probably gotten the better of him in that regard.
At this time, Harden is ahead of Manu for sure in the flop department. You don't get to the line more than the master (Durant) without embellishing a bit.
Also, to say that Harden is fouled every time he goes into the lane is absured as well. Parker goes into the lane as much if not more than Harden and doesn't have near the free throw attempts. In fact, Harden has 792 and Parker has 330.
Looking at Hoop Data (per game numbers), Parker has 5.6 attempts at the rim and 2.4 from 3-9 feet. Harden has 5.8 and 1.4. In the same amount of attempts, and actually .8 more per game close to the rim, Parker really gets fouled 462 free throw attempts less?
Hoop Data only shows data for 59 games this season for Tony and 69 for Harden so that's why I used averages.
As Diet said, if the guy is on your team you are all out going to defend him. I believe there are multiple Spurs fans who have stated in these threads that they like Harden, myself included. Everyone just has to realize that he is in fact the new Manu and adds some extra flair for his contact in the lane.
Clearly we all agree on Chris Paul so that's something.
